Can anyone recommend where to purchase other than eBay . Front near side ABS cable/sensor controls speedo amongst other more worthy parameters I am led to believe, but Speedo and ABS light continuously on is a bit disconcerting.

The speed signal does not come from that sensor.

Are both your ABS and TC lights on?  If so, its far more likely that you have an ABS ECU failure, pretty common on post 1998 V6 Omegas.  Symptoms are no speedo, no working Satnav (for those with factory fitted Nav), and ABS and TC lights on.

Needs specialist repair by sending ECU off.  A few places in the UK can do it, no idea about France, sorry.

ECU is a bit fiddly to remove, due to 2 of the screws being hard to reach.

Thank you so much for your technical reply as to the problem. (The Boy- thank you).
Yes both ABS and TC lights are on. The Vehicle is registered and taxed and resident in the U.K. as I am back in the U.K., so France no longer a locality.
Can anyone suggest where I can get the ABS ECU repaired?

BBAReman is one that comes to mind, sure there are others, probably cheaper as well.

Or place a wanted ad on this site for a known good 2nd hand one, which will likely be even cheaper
