I don't know how this works on the clit, but if it is the ball joint on the wishbone that on many cars this can be drilled-out (it comes riveted) and a new ball joint can be fitted using normal bolts and nuts... is this the case here?

The ball joint can be replaced separately, a much easier job (only about £8 each), but looking at the wishbones, they are pretty shot with age.
