Nice one. We got BT broadband for the same price as we were paying sky (which was supposed to include a discount) and BT sport free for 18 months.

As Bob Hoskins used to say " it's good to talk" :y

Nice one, how much was you paying though, 17 quid a month, ;D Busby wont be pleased though, lees Bird Seed for Him.
I believe a lot of these Retention Deals are all about who you managed to talk to at the time, Ive been on 50% Airtime discount with Vodafone for a while now, when I did my year moan to the Retention Girl She said "Well you wont be getting that again, 15% is the best I can do for you", left it there, spoke again a few days later with a different Chap, ended up with 75% discount, Better deal plus a free gift if I retain my Business with them. ;)

BT Line rental should only be £11.99 p/m ???

But Auto Addict said his Broadband was reduced by £16. If that included calls and line rental, fairysnuff. If it's just the broadband bit then ouch.

Wouldn't you know it, bt are 'making some changes' to their website, so I can't check. I'll try tomorrow.

£11.99 for landline only customers, as far as I can see. £18.99 for everyone else.

Clearly not trying hard enough or you'd be struggling to get under an Omega to change the oil like the rest of us by now. ;)

My body just converts it to heat, rather than fat. I don’t appear to generate any body fat, no matter what I eat.

Cobblers. Set by the service provider.
My primary landlane is provided and looked after by Openreach, but my service provider charges less than £18.99 ;)

Yup, but remember that is only Broadband, not fibre. But that might well be enough for you, which makes it a perfect fit for you :y
-
Put into context, I pay just under £50 for my internet connection and the underlying line it runs over.
I've also heard that FTTP is not coming to this bit of Brakkers, but is available 250 metres away on the new boxes they call houses.

I know its a bit less, but I set up a building to building Wifi link for bro's business, claimed to be AC1200, throughput seems to be approx. 500Mbps, which comes into the category of "adequate" :D. Though, obviously that has LoS.
//TB scratches chin, ponders possibilities....

Can Terbs (am I thinking of the correct new Brakkerite?) get FTTP? And if so, can you persuade him to get it? ;) ;D

No, he can't. FTTC is the best he can get.

After my honeymoon with BT, speed is gradually slowing and I'm being pushed to the back of the queue at teatime. ;D

The UK internet, probably partly due to the competition model in place, will see a slow down as weather fades and kids go back.
