There's a handful of common parts, and a visual similarity, but that's it.
The V8 fits. Just. GM actually built a handful of prototypes and started producing parts... The subframes being the most significant part. Most of these were bought by a chap in the States who offered V8 converions of the Cadillac Catera. Some serious digging required to find any now.
Robs 'MV8' has a Monaro front subframe and suspension along with a modified Monaro rear one. Between the air conditioning, lpg and supercharger plumbing there's barely room to drop a fag paper under the bonnet
