Title: Amazon
Post by: Mr Skrunts on 07 January 2021, 10:09:40
Bought a 700w PSU last night, delivering today (If it happens) Paid £73.99

If I want another today it will cost me £81. >:(

I have also bought a lot of modular shelving and the same item can vary by £14 overnight. >:(

Amazon prime.  Often next day delivery on the advert, once paid for it often changes to 2/3 days delivery.  But had 2 seperate deliveries that once it gets tp 5pm, it gets delayed to another day 2 days after.

Also, items that never arrive, getting loads not getting here.  Put a note to the seller and get an instant refund.  Makes me wonder if they actually send the smaller price items from abroad hopeing the buyer doesnt notice.  Did see a post on FB of a container ship losing a load of containers at sea but not sure if that was a spoof as there was a picture from the back of the ship as it happend or could be genuine and the reason loads of packages go missing.

The 3 deliveries I have coming today all look like they will be seperate deliveries.

1 x PSU
2 shelf units, one allready out for delivery and one awaiting despatch.

Another fun day for me. :-X ::)

No. You need to stop buying stuff you don't need off amazon, not stop shopping with them.

I tend to have very few issues with Amazon lately. 10 years ago, they were more problematic.

However, if there is an issue, you're generally screwed, and end up getting them to call you and accepting they can't help.

Still, Costco are currently worse. Still waiting for the last of the order from November that they claim they have now sent twice, but on the same tracking number...   ...which parcel force tracking shows hasn't been received by PF yet.

I have family abroad and normally use Amazon to send gifts, however any non-UK delivery addresses were not available for Christmas. Don't know why.

The workaround I eventually found was to log into the Amazon site in the destination country (existing account should work) so long as you can grasp the language enough.

Re set for today, phoned them up 1st thing and spoke to an assistant in Columbia (Thier time 5:45am) promished me faithfully that it would be here today.  Still awaiting "out for delivery" report.    Dare't hold my breth on this one. :y
