Today, I finally migrated one of bro's shops phone system off a crappy old Raspberry Pi (1 :o) that has spent the last 3 years not being able to survive reboots, onto a virtualised server.

The backup/restore of the config and cdr didn't work, so ended up being a 100% manual config :(.

Might do another tomorrow, seeing as I'm off all week.

One of the quadcopters I bought for lockdown about a year ago is coming up to 900km.

A colleague pointed out earlier thats about to Glasgow and back, or a one way trip to Toulouse :o

Today I have managed to superglue myself to just about everything.  However, I have not managed to glue the 2 items together.

I'm also high as a kite on acetone ;D

It took a fair amount of it to detach myself from a cutting mat.  Some of that chinky superglue is bloody good stuff.

Today in lockdown, I drove 110 miles into another country (Ynys Mon, to have breakfast in my parents Garden, a walk on the beach, lunch in my parents Garden and delivered  my mum her Present for her 83rd Birthday.
Then drove back to Miseryside. Furthest my MV6 has been in one day (or week) since March 2020.
Only frustration is that my wife kept telling me I was going too fast. Because I used the accelerator.

Played with an RC car. Boys and toys, and all that.

Within 1 battery, I had destroyed yet another bumper due to one solitary tree standing proud in a sea of nothing else, then subsequently wrecked all 4 tyres, which are over £40 a pair :(

Had to dremel off the old bumper, but to shitty coated steel screws corroding. Put A2 stainless back in, along with all the other underside screws.

Need to swap out the underside screws on the Typhon 6S as well at some point, before they corrode to make removal shittier than it already is.

Yesterday the Mavic 2 Zoom clocked up 925km since new.  Can't get my head round that.

One of my lockdown toys was a RC car.  Well, more than one, but thats another story for another day.

The car in question is an Arrma Kraton 6S BLX - https://www.arrma-rc.com/kraton/ - a completely mental tonka.

Anyway, this particular one I lent to a friend, and I'm guessing I'm never gonna pry it back out of his mitts, certainly not any time soon.

A couple of weeks back, I'd had an arse of a week (not that my luck has improved since ;D), so bought the stronger version of the Kraton, called EXB.

As with all Arrma stuff, although it comes prebuilt (sadly), its wise to strip it and rebuild it properly, and throw away any important screws and get decent ones.

So, yesterday it was like this:

and soon became:

As is often the case, heat was needed on a lot of the screws that went into metal.  One needed a dremel.

So this afternoon, I started putting it back together:

To protect the rear suspension components from being sand blasted from the front wheels, I was going to redesign some protectors, as the rear wishbones are different on the stronger EXB, but happened to find some on Thingiverse, so printed them off, then got Mrs TheBoy painting in the logo:

More coats needed methinks ;D.  Not that the paint will last long, as the rear takes a real beating from what the front throws its way.

Currently designing and printing a switch mount, as I'm using a 3rd party Electronic Speed Controller, and its switch doesn't fit where the standard Spektrum one fits.

And its finished printing

Note the top 8mm is rough. This is a common issue when printing a thin unsupported wall using a flexible filament (this was TPU)
