Today noticed gap in the tired rubber seal at the base of the GPS ariel, can I just smear some black or clear sealant around the base?
Unbolt it and lift away. Then give the surrounding roof a clean and polish.
Refit it and mask the roof around the aerial footprint.
Remove it again, and discard the rubber seal.
Apply a 1/4" bead of black goo (camcover stuff), 1/4" in from the outer edge.
Refit and tighten fully.
Leave to set.
Once done, carefully trim any excess and remove the masking.
It has an inner seal where it goes through the roof, so what you see is largely cosmetic :y

Thanks, the water ingress was my main concern. But to remove it you have to take the headline off? Not sure I want to go down that route...

You only have to remove the plastic trim at the rear of the headlining, not the whole lot. Pretty straightforward job. :y

Mine doesn't have the GPS antenna, but check carmastsuk on eBay. The gasket for my basic estate antenna was less than a fiver, which means it isn't worth messing about with anything else.

Don't think I've seen the gasket for the GPS Antenna's anywhere.

I was about to say "just remove the plastic access panel like I did, clean it up and sealant the heck out of it"... then realised that yours, unlike Zeke, isn't plod-spec and so won't have one. Unless you get a bit tasty with the Dremel...
