Omega General Help / Help needed with key fob

The electronis in my key fob are knackered and I don't have a spare.  I have seen second hand ones on ebay. My question is this..... If I bought a second hand one, could it be recoded to my car or will I have to buy a new one???

Hi all,

Now I've got hold of a diagram for the fuse panel, I can't give up without a nag!!!!  Can anyone supply me with a diagram that shows what all the different relays do please?

Omega General Help / Cheapo Tech2... Worth Having?

Omega General Help / Gearbox fault, Please help

Thanks to eveyone for your friendly and welcoming comments.  I wish I was joining this site under happier circumstances.
But as sod's law would dictate I have a problem.

My gearbox on 2.6 V6 Auto is locking into safe mode and the lights on my gearshift look like blackpool alluminations, or it lights 1 up when it's acctually in 3.  Have checked oil level and topped it up.  It took about 1 litre (why couldn't they just put  a dipstick on it instead of just behind the wheel)!!!   Anyway, oil is nicely topped up but this problem is still there,  Do any of you omega wizards have any suggestions or advise.  (Setting fire to it not an option in my financial situation, but don't think I haven't thought about it)

Omega General Help / URGENT Advise Needed!!

I urgently need the expert advise of all you omega wizards out there.  I am in desperate need of a selector switch for the gearbox on my 2.6 V6 Automatic (Y-Reg).  JamesV6CDX has one in his garage, but I think it's off a pre-facelift model.  Does anybody know if this would still fit on my Y-Reg?  Or if anybody has one they would sell please let me know.
I desperately need to get my poorly car back on the road.  VX want £274 for a new one, which is way out of my price range. (I don't know how they sleep at night)!!!!

Omega General Help / Fuse panel - Need diagram

Does anybody have a diagram of the fuses in the fuse panel under the steering column for y-reg 2.6.
Didn't get that with the car, so could realy do with one.

Newbie Welcome Area / Another newbie with a poorly omega

Hello everyone.  

Had a Y reg 2.6V6 Auto for about 8 months now.  Love the car to bits, despite the fact that people insist on smashing into it whilst it's parked.

It's a little bit poorly at the moment.  It is locking into safe mode and the lights on the gear shift are flashing like a mobile disco.  Have checked the gearbox oil and topped it up.

If anybody can offer any advise a to what the hell is going on with it, I would be most grateful.

Just like to say a HUGE thanks to James.  The Gearbox Selector Switch I bought from him did the trick.  My Omega is now running smoothly once more.

From reading the threads on the forum I am coming to the conclusion that most of the members appear to be based in the southern area of the country.

Am I all alone up here in Leeds or are there some members in my neck of the woods?  :-? :-?

It would be nice to attend some of the meets and perhaps a cambelt party, However all the action seems to be a bit far for me to travel.  Am I realy a sad loner up here??
