Omega General Help / Fuel tank
« on: 21 March 2016, 21:03:33 »
Was towing the new car back on trailer when big bang and the back box blew up,decided to keep going mineful of the petrol tank but with all the fibres hanging out thought it might be ok.Well checked today after cutting back box off, nothing left inside only fibres but the petrol tank seems to have expanded on its seam, quite wide in fact.Does anyone know if they are double skinned or is it just safer to get a new tank? Thanks Glenn

Omega General Help / wet footwells
« on: 21 March 2016, 20:56:38 »
Hi all,Have a wet problem and having read the posts i checked the water outlet in the engine bay,no problem but the sunroof is a problem with water running on the inside and out.I pushed some cable down and then tried water still same problem. So is it a pipe or a U shaped channel which seems to go forward towards engine bay?I was pouring a lot of water but if it was a pipe it wouldn't matter, anyone with experience of this? Thanks Glenn

General Discussion Area / Europe In or Out??
« on: 17 January 2016, 12:15:23 »
As this is a subject which seems to be in the news all the time it might interesting to hears members thoughts!!  For me it's an easy one and that is OUT!! I think our politicians will be a lot more accountable to us instead of hiding behind Brussels and maybe we can get something which is good for us.We have in the past like NHS and our ARMY but slowly our own powers are being watered down as an electrician I noticed this we changed all our cable colours they didn't change theirs and i'm sure the next step must be the Euro and changing the side of the road we drive, for sure they aren't going to change and out politicians don't seem to stand up for us!!!

Omega General Help / Engines
« on: 04 December 2015, 22:00:15 »
I was just wondering really when looking at the 3lt and 3.2lt engines on the 3lt there is a lot of extra bits in the engine. Were they just put somewhere else on the latter and could you modify the 3lt with 3.2 parts if they just improved the design.

Omega General Help / Water leak
« on: 18 November 2015, 21:14:59 »
Had this problem of slow water leak or top up after a long run.Its been going on a very long time and I've never managed to solve it.When I did the cam cover gaskets a couple of months ago I noticed some slightly pinky crunchy powder like stuff by the oil cooler so I was thinking maybe there? But when the engine was going and I was underneath I thought their maybe some water on the alternator. After said longish run or fully warmed up you do get that smell of warm water and sometimes a puff of steam but still I can't find it.Your thoughts would be appreciated Glenn
