General Car Chat / Omega's in Turkeye
« on: 22 October 2015, 15:21:14 »
Hi there,Just a bit of info really.I'm just back from Turkey and whilst their I was browsing their Omegas as I saw a few around.First thing that struck me was the price really expensive still over £10,000 but I did notice that some had built in tv screens in the front seat headrests. As they were leather seats it seemed an original spec so I wonder what other mods are out on european market?http://www.ooyyo.com/turkey/c=CDA31D7114D2857F111B986FBAEA355B65A11D6614F3854111/1618538476886806912.html/#images

Omega General Help / Thermostat
« on: 06 September 2015, 21:02:25 »
Hi all,Think after changing the cam gaskets there is a possibility that the thermostat O ring might have failed.I've been losing water for a long time but had never found out why or where, but i noticed in the V around the thermostat quite a lot of white with a pinkish tinge crunchy powder. So i just emailed my local VX dealer for a price for a thermostat and 3 O rings there reply £63.30.Seems pretty expensive for what it is.Your thoughts would be appreciated?By the way my thermostat seems to function ok, but if i have to change O ring might well change it too.Pattern parts?

Omega General Help / Gaskets and Seals
« on: 18 May 2015, 23:22:27 »
As the title suggests a list of gaskets and seals with part numbers would be very useful for members.I know on some of the guides they are mentioned but here in one place alot easier to find. Then members could add known suppliers of parts, some are easy some less so and up to date prices. What do you all think???

Omega General Help / Oil pressure switch??
« on: 15 May 2015, 14:12:42 »
Hi everyone,I hope someone can help.I seem to have an oil leak coming from under the car after just purchasing some ramps and investigating it looks like the oil pressure switch?? Its on the passenger side above the sump and appears to be black plastic with one torx screw and the wires are protected by a silver metal cover. There seems to be oil leaking out of here especially when warm.If this is right and i remove the torx screw is it just a cover so I wont get covered in oil?How to solve said problem? Many thanks Glenn Have taken photo but how to add mmmmm
