My star adjuster if there is one doesn't look like that at all!!! I can see the spring at the top and there is a slim silver object on top which should be the adjuster but different to the one pictured!! Are there different versions? 2.6 elite estate 2001!! on a Y reg

Omega General Help / Handbrake
« on: 02 October 2016, 09:27:02 »
I've got to do something to improve the handbrake as it just catches as high as it will go about 8 notches i think.I took the wheels off yesterday and had a look for these star adjusters but i just cant see them and i looked closely but everything in that area looks to be in very good order but the cable needs tightening. So i put the estate up on the ramps and sprayed WD on the heat shield nuts not knowing which ones have to come off to access the adjuster. So can someone please guide me in? I hope its not the front ones as i'm not that thin!!!

The wife and i both have been using Talktalk mobile which uses the Vodaphone network and they pay us to use it! Using a cashback site they pay me about £15 a year to have 300 mins and unlimited txts, wife has a 1000 mins and 2gb data and they pay her £2 a year! Having worked for E.on fitting meters all i can say is that like it or not you will have to have one.Because the electric and gas comps got so lazy and to save money they started guessing usage with smart it sends a text message in with all data including any attempts to fiddle. Will cost us all a small fortune to install and all the old meters will go to the bin and not reused as before!!! Companies fit there own meters and software and you need their passwords to speak to the meter and some companies won't share!!

Rather depends on what you will be using it for, light use 18v is fine i.e fitting screws and the odd rawplug but lots of masonry drilling requires 24v and Bosch is very good

Omega General Help / Rocker cover
« on: 06 August 2016, 22:25:35 »
Just noticed today a little seepage of oil from 3 or 4 of the bolts do you think its the O rings that need changing? The breathers are all clear or maybe they need the torque checking although i think they may well be original as the car has only done 50000 and i can't see it mentioned in the service history!! Your thoughts and can you but O rings separately?
