I see The Telegraph is reporting that an ugly twisted pile of metal to be built at the Olympic Park.

Mayor Johnson is quoted as saying "If Paris can have the Eiffel Tower, then we thought the Olympic site had to have ... something.".


Lucky it's April 1st, for a minute I thought it was

......what`s that old expression:

"Throwing good money after bad"

......have they forgotten the 'Dome'; a fiscal catastrophe for the nation in it`s original guise and now only a success as a venue, because it was given as an unwanted 'free gift'. >:(

And what about the "B of the Bang" at the commonwealth games here in Manchester?? It started falling down almost as soon as it was put up and it cost something ridiculous.

Its now been taken down on safety grounds and the argument about who is responsible goes on in the courts (at the taxpayers cost) >:( >:( >:(
