Mrs Seth's got one Dave >:( >:( >:(

You can have the contraption for sod all (once I make it disappear from her vast collection of culinary gadgets and gismos). Hate it with a vengeance meself, and refuse to eat anything cooked by it >:( >:( >:(
Grub's best traditionally cooked in a proper oven IMO :y

Don't know about any potential savings though :-\

We've just polished-off a feast, courtesy of The Bomb Bay take-away ... so once Geli's gat the launch ignition sequence sorted, things'll go with a bang in the skies over The Valleys :o

Well done Terry:

If the pedal only goes halfway down that isn't a hydraulic problem, but suggests that something is blocking the movement of either the slave cylinder or the pressure plate thereby keeping the clutch engaged :-\

Did the new pressure plate have compression clips fitted (that need to be removed once the assembly is bolted to the flywheel) per chance? :-\

I ... ahem ... know a certain OOFer :-X who turned-up a week early to assist me at a certain steam rally ...

Omega General Help / Re: Help needed in getting 2.5TD ECU upgrade
« on: 14 December 2014, 22:15:09 »
Well just got back from a weekend away with the caravan.

The car deffinatly pulls better with the new chip, not as much gear changing needed, but it is using more fuel. Last time I averaged 28mpg with the van, but only got 26mpg this weekend.

Another strange thing that happened a few times was, when trying to start the car the yellow light with engine simble would flash. Acording to the owners manule this is an immobilizer fault, after taking the key in and out of the barrel a few times the light will go out and the car will then start.

I think it is time to get the car cheaked out on Teck2 as there is deffinatly something going on with the immobilizer. Who or where is the best place around Coventry to take it into?

Those figures are pretty well spot on - same here :y

Nowt to be concerned about! ;)

Not allowing for heat dissipation, or lack of, holding the brakes on after working them hard... ::)

'Cadence braking' ... as practised by train drivers 8)

TB hasn't blown his new garage up already surely?

Nope!

Been sworn to secrecy ... but TB our head honcho wasn't online much over the weekend ... ???
Neither was Mr Zok ... who kinda knew of a suitable launch site practise area on t'other side of the Pennines ::)

Summat of an OOF Anglo-Welsh conspiracy collaboration ... possibly? 8)

Did anyone hear the loud bangs over the weekend?

Sounds like fireworks to me but whatever.

Me an' Geli (Kelly) was oop Narth perfecting our pyro (technical) skills at around the same time ... coincidentally ::)
Practicing for next years oof bonfire night no doubt!

Omega General Help / Re: wheel and brake wobble

A friend of mine just bought an omega...The problem is at approx 50mph it has slight wheel vibration and on easy braking there is a slight vibration coming up through the brake pedal just as if the  a.b.s system is making  the brakes go..on/off..on/off on.off....With heavier braking this disapears and feels ok...The brakes are spot on and there are no a.b.s warning light to say the unit is faulty.....fitted new genuine front discs and pads and then had the wheels tracked and balanced..flew through m.o.t...with no advises......if the steering geometry camber/angle/whatever  is out would this cause these two symptoms...thanks  :y

Master cylinder. Just sorted one with same symptoms ;)

Bleed the entire system first though, and then you'll probably find it's spot on ... for a few days ;)
