I had a long thread on this code a while ago .... the maf ( air flow meter ) was at fault although there was no code saying maf  .... i took a chance and put a new one on and it cured it instantly ....car drove better and gained some power back as it felt sluggish before  :y

For what it's worth, TIS2000 requires checks of the O2 sensor circuits when T/Codes 170, 173 appear. Might be worth a look.

Hi all.

I got these codes today in my omega as well.

As I was driving this afternoon it was fine untill it started pissing. Don't know if rain has something to do with it.
Few weeks back had the same problem, but only 0170 and not 0173 and what I did I disconnected the battery for 20 mins and the light was gone.

With the engine management light on, when I started the engine it went to 2000rpm and it was going down very slowly.

What can I do to avoid it in future?
