Title: Omega 6-speed manual ratios
Post by: Stev0 on 10 July 2021, 17:46:50
Good day all,

The early manual omega's had a 6-speed getrag box - I think it was designated the R26..

Does anyone know the exact gear ratio's and possibly the final drive ratio on those cars?
I can't seem to find the info anywhere.

Thanks in advance

It's a five-speed gearbox.
The R25 and R26 designations are for essentially the same gearbox and are directly interchangeable as complete units; the R26 has a few slightly stronger components to cope with the larger, torquier engine.

The only vehicle in the Omega range with a 6 speed manual box was the Lotus Carlton / Omega which had the gearbox out of a Corvette ZR1
