Post by: Andy B on 21 July 2021, 18:45:19
This is just around the corner from me, has been sitting there for years & is slowly blending into the scenery ....

The best No Hiding Place was earlier from 1958-59. in full B & W glory with a Wolsley in the opening credits. Later episodes, to 1967, lacked the earlier 'magic'.  Z Cars was a real change in TV police drama from 1962 ;)

I did once read somewhere that the "Z" cars in the series were actually yellow as this showed up on screen more as white than a white car would have.

I found out today that the reason for parking it up was due to a failed coil pack. It seems nobody was prepared to remove the original coil pack to identify which coil pack was needed  ???

That's only got the single pack, bolted on back of block on a plate.

I know .... I used to have an Omega & have changed one ;) but there was a choice of 3(?), and Vx couldn't tell you which one until you'd put the old coil pack on their parts counter.
