Omega General Help / Re: Bluetooth obd scanner
« on: 28 November 2022, 12:59:08 »
I have the imaginatively titled 'car scanner' free iphone app, works with wifi EML327 dongles, few quid off ebay etc.

I have a better plug in laptop one too, but handy to keep in the car.

As stated, Bluetooth will not work with an iphone, you NEED a wifi version.

General Car Chat / Re: So what have you done to your car today?

Fixed the reversing camera on the golf....Wire had snapped where it enters a plastic housing, so lots of craft knife scraping, bit of soldering, job done.

Fingers crossed it holds, leaving it a week before I fight the boot trim back on.

We get a lot of BMW owning spam applications, these get rejected

Not spotted a valid application, if you want to pm me when the application is put in I can go look for it

That makes sense.

Reckons he's using the name Carbine :y

Disclaimer - if he turns out ro be a lunatic it's not my fault.

General Discussion Area / RIP Tony Bones from Wheels in Motion
« on: 28 February 2022, 10:04:02 »
Sorry to say Tony from Wheels in Motion has passed away following a battle with cancer.

I know a lot of us here met and liked him, and his knowledge improved the handling of many of our cars, either directly at his place, or just by using his knowledge.

He did a great owners day for us too some time ago.
