General Discussion Area / Biden's first three days...
« on: 23 January 2021, 19:47:35 »
Not content with unemploying thousands of people and upsetting Canada (and all the now unemployed people there) by killing the pipeline, or rejoining WHO and the Paris accord unnecessarily and upsetting the Middle East...
Todays bright idea is to bring the Chinese into the US energy sector... The same sector, that until Wednesday evening was self sufficient.
And people claimed Trump was insane

A series of rambling soundbites that make absolutely sod all sense.

General Discussion Area / Dating Q
« on: 31 December 2020, 12:44:21 »
Seeing as how dating has been reduced to "a socially distanced stroll outside with upto one person from another household" (current Tier 4 rules ), I have a question for the lotharios amongst you...
Are flowers on a first date still a 'thing'?

Tesco's carpark earlier today...
Current large Rolls Royce saloon. Not in itself an occasion, but it stood out as it was two tone... Navy blue up to the body line with Old English White from the flanks up.
Again striking, but not too chavvy. What really stood out was the fuel filler door on the osr quarter... Which sits square in the middle of the colour change line. Was it a nice two tone to match the rest of the bodywork?
Nope, it was completely navy blue... £150,000 car and they cba to paint the top two inches of the filler door a different colour
They mightvas well have painted the filler door lime green for how much it stood out...

General Discussion Area / EU hilarity
« on: 19 November 2020, 21:28:28 »
Hungary and Poland are both vetoing the latest EU budget.
And all because they don't want to be forced to contribute to the central immigration pot. Unfortunately, unless they all agree, Brussels can't do much else as it's a feature of the budget as a whole rather than a point of debate

Second half of this...

It stands to reason that everything thus fair hasn't actually made much of a difference one way or the other as far as actually dealing with the virus goes, so we may as well get on with living with it.
