seems ok, maybe a tad dear, but good spec, except for brightness which looks a little low...   ...should be OK though, unless in sunlight...

I haven't seen anything over 300!  I just want a nice 19" non-widescreen height adjustable with DVI and 3yr warranty.  Have a Samsung LCD tv and really like it.

How about this 1 m8 less response time but still nice and way cheaper

Thanks, but it's not DVI and not sure it is height adjustable.  I have looked around a bit.  You can get good stuff for about 180, but this is nicer for only 25 quid more.  It seems like the nice stuff has dropped in price more over the last year.

actually, i don't think that's over priced... for several reasons:

Its height adjustable... yes i know that's a small thing but how many of your TFT's at home go up and down vertically?? - Usefull feature which costs more.

Also, look at its reaction time its 4ms... that's very low, nearly ALL other TFTs around have a 8ms response time (eg that Argos one)

Personally I would never buy anything computer related from Argos, far, far to expensive and never have the good stuff.

Good monitor choice Theo, i paid £190 for my Samsung (same spec just without the height adjustment)

I highly recommend Samsung, excellent screens, excellent warranty. I am running 3 TFT monitors here, 1x 16" Oxy Gel Sony Vaio on my laptop & another 15" Taxan TFT, they are both blown away with the Samsung......

You can't go wrong with their warranty either, remember 1 dead pixel and they will swap it out no probs!

I have just noticed on the ebuyer site they put my monitor up in price!  :o

I paid £190 including VAT & delivery for this one:

Samsung? no chance. Crap crap crap. they are the crapiest crap in crapville. They are so crap that the crap factory is doing overtime. Crap. Actually, they are a tad better than Sony i suppose, so slightl;y better crap than the crap of craps. Then I suppose there is Ebuyer's own brand, so 2 notches up from the anus of monitor world. Oh, and I had fogotten about Hitachi and Phirrips so not as bad as I first thought then. And at 19" a pretty good size. Inb fact i would say that is a good monitor on reflection, even the best of the bunch. yep go for it, you can't buy better. They are still crap though.

Hummmm!

Name me another manufacture of TFT screens that gives you a 3 year warrently with a ZERO dead pixel policy?

In 3 years if you get one HOT or DEAD pixel, just ONE!! They will replace it, no other supplier offers that. And for me thats top notch as a dead pixel would sooo pi$$ me off

OK, Samsung's site says it is 8ms and 250 on the brightness.  :-/  But then they have errors on the specs of other monitors  :o

You might want to compare prices and finer point of TFT's at the site below, check the reviews I am sure Ronald must have done one of them ;D ;D

Yeah have to agree a bit over on the price, u can pick 17'' TFT for less than that :)

Perhaps because its 2 inches smaller? :P

Price is reasonable for a 19" - and Samsung is very good build quality. They are the market leaders in TFT technology at the moment (first 100" LCD was built by them :o)

I like my Samsung LCD tv, especially price/performance v. Sony.  I looked at LG, but they just didn't do it for me.  I don't need the best LCD monitor, but I would like something that I will be happy with for a few years.  This constantly buying mediocre crap to replace dying crap is pissing me off.  My first laptop lasted 6 years.  Now I can't get one to last more than 2 years, at a thousand pounds a pop!  I don't spend much more than that on cars!  Monitors at least are supposed to last longer.  I'm willing to spend 200 instead of 150, IF it is something that I will be happy with longer.

OK, since I'm not happy that the specs on the other TFT were true, how about this one?  It doesn't pivot, despite what the title says.  Otherwise seems pretty promising.
