Also, if the car was recently aquired from the Kings Lynn area, I would be more concerned about welding up the front of the chassis than messing with the radio...

it is said car from kings lynn, have no idea what youre on about welding up the front end???? it went straight through its mot
Very surprising seeing as this was the first result ???

Hence why it appeared as an auction and not a for sale.  ::)

Brake imbalance and steering component chassis mounting corrosion are not subjective items :-X

I didn't make a note of the listing, so have no reg for running the latest MoT... but would have thought that the brake imbalance would have constituted a dangerous fault :-\

Also looking at the past Mot history it had been flagged up every year, suggesting problems had never been resolved although not failing on

That could be true, but if I had just bought it I would give it a close inspection on the areas mentioned above.  ;)

once ive sorted the rear brakes etc out im planning on fitting new front discs + pads on it anyway aswell as 2 new front tyres as they are low so i'l be having a good look at these areas anyway.

Chassis corrosion is very speculative in my experience, you see some pass areas of corrosion and others fail it.

As for back plates, according to my tame man they are still available but have to come from Germany so a few days wait.

On the NCDC displays, the (rare) Astra G ones will work with the Omega if that helps (fitted two of these myself) but there is a mode pin you need to set to get them to program ok. Other wise its a case of add a few extra wires to the loom for the RGB signals etc and move a couple of pins around, easy enough to do.

Which model of the Astra G range would have had an NCDC 2013 / CID fitted ?  :-\

Think Mark means the CID, rather than the entire set up, but will be pretty rare as the NCDR1100 with CID was probably a £900+ option...

Usual caveat also applies re depairing properly or risk bricking it ;)
