Brake pipe ?
« on: 24 July 2017, 14:06:50 »

Flaring too keeps pushing the steel brake pipe through the flaring too  ??? It will flare copper to double flare but just will not hold steel . Any solutions to this , ive got it clamped as tight as it will go but just keeps slipping  :(

I was about to suggest, politely, that your tool might not be top quality - but you said it for me!  :y

This fella appears to be making a steel brakeline with the same tool I bought for doing copper: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5cI42jE9wM

I could never get the damn thing to work on copper, mind, so this advice is worth precisely what you paid for it ;D

(Also fast forward to about 5:50 in to see the rookie mistake every one of us makes at least once per job.. ;D)
