Are we out of lock down
« on: 18 April 2020, 18:58:51 »

Just my imagination but the "local world" seems to of either decided to go back to some form of normality or the population have said " break this I going back to before life "

Lots more cars on the road today...read our local Range and Wilko stores are going to be opening and all the local take aways seem to of re-opened.

Have I missed something or is this just a rebellion !!!.....Thought we had "atleast another 3 weeks of isolation"

We have some young idiots down here who think they are invincible and the rules don’t apply to them.  Even their children are mixing with the adults from other households, sitting in the Sun and forcing others to walk through their groups to get into their homes.

They just don’t care, or are just too ignorant and naive to recognise that something bad is going on and another 888 died over the last 24 hours. ::) ::) :'(

As they are endangering the other households around here I, and others, have spoken to them. The police have now received numerous complaints about them and I have sent a report in.

Officers have been patrolling, watching especially for this lot and others doing the same thing. Eventually they will get the message!  >:(

So, yes, some are relaxing and thinking it is all safe now for some reason. Just what the authorities have warned about.

Expect another big wave of infections and deaths! :o :o >:(

I live at the end of a small cul-de-sac so if a car goes past my house it's crashed.  ;D

I believe the Range and Wilko never shut around our way, they are on the list of stores permitted to be open, as are take-aways.  :y
I personally wouldn't want to go out unless it was absolutely necessary. I have explained to my disabled parents that I won't be visiting as they have carers four times a day, so they are at enough risk without me adding to it...... or them putting me at risk.  :-\

What a world we live in now.  ::)

Yes it does seem that a minority of society think that as they have now had a minor inconvenience to their usual lives they are now free to roam the place further helping to spread this virus .

The first week after the announcement of restricted movement I was hopeful the rules would be obeyed....sadly I have proved to be wrong

Most people round our way are being sensible with the exception of teenagers who are still roaming around in groups of 5 or 6 or more!

Unfortunately, once again, "the media" in their expert knowledge and sensitive manner have actually re-inforced the idea in the minds of the "youths" .... the numerous "data sets" (as the only thing that matters is a data set nowadays) they insist on pouring over interminally and shoving down our throats with no explanation as the sound bite "the data says" is the God of the media.... these "data sets" have been emphasising 2 points time and again ...

1) The vast majority only have very mild symptoms and recover within a week, its like a mild case of flu. The fit and healthy have no problems

2) 91% of those who have died are over 60

Now, given the total lack of a discerning, thinking mind in the modern youth, as education is all about passing tick tests and not thinking, it is easy to see how they make the simple assumption that it will not affect them..  and if it doesn't affect them .. who gives a s**t ..... end of story ..  that is the way of the youth of today

My parents and my wife's parents are all in thier 80s and are in that inevitable slow decline to death.

There is a small part of me, that I try to keep hidden and subdued that thinks. If they did die, now. At least there'll be an inheritance. And there carefully saved rainy day fund can be my rainy day fund. 1/3 of both lots of assets woukd allow me to retire.
Obviously I don't want that to happen which is why they are being treated like they should be. We are doing shopping, and leaving it at their front door. The only person at risk is my daughter working in Salford Hospital as a Pharmacist.
I wish this were over. But it's not.
I'm currently expecting my notice to be handed to me n3xt week.

Either you value your life or you don't , it appears that a lot don't and just want to get back out there to do as they please, unfortunately we no longer have enough resources to control stupidity, we need to see some real hard line dealing with the idiots amongst us but we have become far too soft in the UK, for this to happen , a £60 fine is certainly not the answer.
