Silver medal in the weightlifting for our girl.

I'm pleased that gold, silver, and bronze will all go to women.......in the women's competition. :)

A fortnight of utter tedium.
Nice to see the UK team (wrongly named Team GB) doing well. Apart from the home team, all the teams above them are the really big nations.
Shameful to see the Russians allowed in through the back door. Makes a mockery of the principles of sport.  >:(

Far cough, pilfering scouse git.  ;D

TApparently the official name of  Team GB is Team Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Why not just name it Team UK ffs ?
Probably scared of upsetting Sinn Fein.  ::)

Agree wholeheartedly.

If I were the woman who who gave up my place in the name of wokeness, I would seriously consider suing the Kiwi Olympic Committee  :-X

No, no. They're keeping it as GB & NI so it's easier to just lose the NI when it becomes part of the EU permanently. Doubt they'll let you have EU & NI, probably just EU  :-\

Yes, yes, yes. It wouldn’t be OOF without deviating to obscure nonsense. Can’t you just enjoy being UKish for once. Little country stuffing it to most of the rest of the world. Makes up for the Eurovision  hatred!

No, no, no. I live in Yorkshire and, apparently, we're not part of the rest of the UK and, if we were a country, we'd be 12th in the medal table.

Yorkshire pudding ?
you will need milk and egg and a pinch of salt with the flour  ;)
so you need a chicken and a cow and a sea for the salt
Once you milk the cow you could cut it up, cook and eat it

roast cow and Yorkshire Pudding ,surprised that hasn't caught on  :P

They use a large polystyrene box packed with dry ice to keep everything frozen.

Some nice cuts of dead cow, but it is expensive when compared to Tesco.....etc...etc.

Barnsley chop, or dry aged T-bone steak. :)

Rump is good. It's fillet steak I don't like.

It has a taste that reminds me of liver. Plenty of liver as a kid, which I always hated. :-\

Does anyone even eat liver today?

Yup - me. Can't beat a nice liver and onions, with some chopped up smokey bacon (Lardons if you're posh), and lashings of gravy together with mashed potatoes and a few veg.

Or proper butchers Faggots, thoug I don't normally ask about the exact recipe for those. ;D

I was quite chuffed at scoring a nice bit of discounted rump in Lidl last night for £2.72!  :y

And then you go and drop your hamper into the mix.... :-\       ;D

Or proper butchers Faggots, thoug I don't normally ask about the exact recipe for those. ;D

A good faggot should include 'connective tissue' and 'scrotal sac'. Origin unknown. ::)

Not me. It has always made me ill, so I won't have it. I don't like kidney, unless it's in a pudding with some steak and beer.

I do prefer rump steak over the other cuts, it just tastes better.

I've eaten liver, bollôcks, stomach lining, kidneys.....almost any part of an animal, and enjoyed them. I'm still here.

Half way through the Olympics and Britain is SIXTH in the medals.

Makes one proud to be British.

Up to FOURTH now.  :y
Not bad for an insignificant little rock off the coast of Europe.  :D

Mr & Mrs Kenny have more medals between them than the Republic of Ireland has won in its hundred year history.  ;D

Won't be long and national Olympic teams in the EU will be abolished and they'll send a common team under the EU flag.  :)

Ever closer union!  :D

No you wouldnt. You would all have starved to death when the traditional industries closed down.  ;D
No, no, no. We can live on flour and water, and eggs whisked into a batter and cooked in very hot fat. I forget what the actual dish is called.
Staffordshire oat cakes?
French Pancakes ?
Welsh Pancakes ?
American Pancakes ?

I added eggs to your ingredients because otherwise it's just Greek Flatbread.
