I thought having tp pull the rear seats out of step daughters C70 convertible to get at damper top nuts was bad enough, but that's a whole other level :o

Every time you write this I imagine a Honda step through. Red with white leg guards. :)
Wasn't that a c90?

Needs a touch from the hot metal glue gun :y, Ive just put a set of front pads into a 2014 XJ/L, bloody calipers are huge but pads are mondeo size, whats the point in that ::)
Presumably that a glue gun and special glue?

As for XJ pads, pretty sure mine a the same calipers ford use, due to that odd size allen bolt that ford love.  The V8 ones have proper size calipers, discs and pads, as you'd expect.

Mig welder >:D
Sadly not - the stud has to come out, as its damaged.  I did toy with, and half heartedly, tried to do the shock up my holding the stud in place.  But the stud is shagged.

A bolt will go in in its place.

When I last moved house, I found a C90 in the garage.  And a Puch Maxi ;D

I think the C90 might have belonged to Mrs TB's brother, no idea about the Puch.  Both went down the scrapyard before I moved.

Yes, that is the same garage where we discovered a Vauxhall Nova...   ...but that was mine, I'd just forgotten about it ;D

Yep....just seen one from the eighties for £2750. It's crazy.

These things have been around since the dawn of time.

My mate had one of those and it was funny as hell watching him furiously peddling down the road to get it going!  ;D

Once it was going, it went very well and kept up with the Fizzies.  :y

It was very uncool though.  ;D

SWMBO had a Puch Maxi that she used to go form our married quarter in Gosport to Pompey via the ferry. In the day, cycles & motor bikes/scooter mopeds etc were free, the last time I used the Gosport ferry they were all charged for, consequently there were no motorbike etc on the ferry
She came off it one day after braking hard enough in the wet to lock up the front wheel ..... she never used it again.

It was a loong time back now, but I remember you starting it with a kick start of sorts .... IIRC you kinda wound it up & then released the drive which then spun the engine

That looks like an XE to me. :-\

My mate at school had a Puch Maxi. Our maths teacher's wife knocked him off it in her Morris Ital outside the school one evening and he was so embarrassed he rode off home without the exhaust, which I picked up and returned to him later. ;D

I do remember he could show most of the 50cc "Pifco boys" a clean pair of heals due to not having to change up through any gears during the 0-30 sprint. ;D

Another mate had a Raleigh Wisp, although I don't think he ever rode it on the road. We'd belt round his parents garden on it, until I lost it and went through his mum's prized bed of rose bushes. ::) That was a proper "pedal and go" job.

I think you pulled in the decompression lever, pedalled like crazy, released the lever and hope it started.  That was my vague recollection of ragging it around the estate before taking it to scrappy ;D

You seemed to have had many encounters with Morris Itals in your past.  I wonder if that helps explain why you are like you are, they have scarred you for life.  I'm sure there are solicitors who advertise on the telly who can help you with compensation for the psychological marks left upon you ;D
