Dominic Raab
« on: 21 April 2023, 11:45:43 »

Apparently the retarded excuses for journalists we have to endure have failed to consider the possibility that the PM was waiting until Monday to sack him in order to give Mr Raab the weekend to consider his position/options, after all, the report found most of the allegations to be unfounded.

Sure, he might not be known for his soft, fluffy side, but a robust management style shouldn't be something to be ashamed of. Pandering to all the wet lettuce achieves SFA, certainly nothing positive.

This is the definition of bullying for those born in 2003.

For those of us born some (many) ::) years before this it amounts to SFA.

Civil servants are supposed to be apolitical while at work regardless of their political views outside work.

Most however are lefties so they feel the need to resort to a bit of left wing activism.....and if these unelected individuals can help to bring down the government they are happy to do so. :-X

Real genuine workplace bullying and abuse of powerful position is vile behaviour and if he did do that he deserves all he gets.
I also suspect though that a few bone idle lefty woke civil servants didnt bother doing what they were supposed to, and then played the system to bring him down when he called them out for it.
We wont know though unless all the specific details are released.
He seems so mild mannered and softly spoken that its difficult to imagine him seriously bullying someone, but who knows ?

I agree. But accounts  that have surfaced don't suggest anything particularly harrowing.

Might be enough to trigger some snowflakes though. :)

The fact that Dominic Raab is a Tory Brexiteer has nothing to do with any of this of course.  ::)

Another one out of the way....  :-X  :-\

I'm sure that civil servants are split exactly 52/48 on Brexit....just like people who work for the BBC. :)

Oooo, I do love a good conspiracy ;D

But if he was guilty of what was claimed (and all we know so far is some minor things, unknown if real, and probably leaked by his backers), then he was right to step down and stop distracting from what government should be doing.

Alas, the right of the tories always end up cocking it up after they have been in power for a decade, and this won't improve until they are back in opposition.

Trouble is, the alternatives to the wet, useless tories.....

Apparently one of the accusations that was upheld was over the way he dealt with the British Ambassador in Madrid when he was Foreign Secretary, who had gone rogue during the Brexit negotiations and had proposed to the Spanish Government that Spanish troops could be stationed on Gibraltar!  :o

The Ambassador was recalled and his predecessor sent out to negotiate with the Spanish Government, which must have been a humiliation for the man and he was probably hauled over the coals by Dominic Raab on his return.

However if he went beyond his Cabinet Office mandate?  ???    Interestingly, he is still the British Ambassador in Madrid.  :-X

You can't narrow it down to just Labour.  There are plenty of other wet, leftie, tree hugging, waste of oxygen, moronic political parties gaining strength, in part because the tories keep shooting themselves in the foot, so when half baked stories like this come out, its so believable, that even though we don't know any facts yet, its become fact.
