Sorted the quilted bootliner out in the RRS came with the car when I bought it but always looked a bit untidy, SWMBO attached some velcro to it  now fits nice & snug , she also machined a cut out section into it so I can now get to the tools jack etc without removing it completely.

A woman's touch.

Where would we be without them. :y

They are expensive to run though... :-X

She's good like that but refuses to drive it which is a shame if we're out, reckons it's too big & too quick.

Didn't part ex it for the cheapest R320cdi in the country.

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202110299016551

Nothing insurmountable wrong with it, but I drew the line at having to buy tyres on the way home.

It would have been a stonking deal though.

The add says cheap to tax ,duh its 585 a year ;D

Thanks to the ongoing component supply challenges, my new car order has been cancelled  :-\

So the Velar stays for a bit longer and gets replaced by a RR Sport when its ready

Well, worse things to be lumbered with...

...like a Battlebus that keeps stalling after starting, and then becomes an utter shite to start after ;D

So much so, I was looking at what I could get relatively cheaply on Autotrader earlier.

I was also quite impressed with your Velar when we went for a spin.  It didn't feel anywhere near as a lumbering old dog as it looked.

The Barge might be a bit impractical for your needs, although I know someone selling a very cheap R Class ::)

I can assure you its replacement will not be a Mercedes Benz. And never will be until they discover how to design cars again, which isn't looking likely any time soon.

Mum and dads neighbour has just chopped his e class estate in for an A46AMG, its pretty lively (god knows how long such a highly tuned 4 pot will last! ) but, the front and rear is horrible, the interior really low rent and the audio system does not even have a touch screen and is a nightmare to use  :-\ :-\

Thankfully he still has the Aston  ;D
