Years ago I had a 1.4 Escort Van that bombed around the Country, apart from Plugs, leads, alternator and a handful of Oil and Battery changes it never broke down once, was up to about 300k millage when I called it a day, sold it back to Fords Research Team in the end for a dismantle.

It was about 18 years ago now, seem to remember I got about 800 notes for it, which was about 700 quid more than what is was worth, I didn't know they did that sort of thing but a Mate of mine at the time worked for Fords, suggested it and got it all sorted out for me.
