Hi guys,
3.2 , Just recently, i found the car will cut out and not restart on Lpg, but runs like a dream on petrol.
Starts fine then cuts when the Lpg kicks in, so am just using petrol at the moment.
Any Ideas?

Both solenoid valves working?
-
To be honest I dont know where to look for those..
-
One on the feed from the tank and one on the vapouriser :y aka shut off valves :y
-
Ok, so, have had a play, the valve in the tank clicks over and so does the one under the bonnet.
On the second go she ran on Lpg, but misfiring, throwing a 0301.
It wont switch back on to petrol unless i clear the code first, then it does and runs perfectly on petrol.
Switch back to Lpg and its instant 0301.
The pipes look ok, is it the valve for that cylinder?
Puzzled.
-
Either plug or coil pack ;)
-
I thought that, but runs perfectly on petrol, and i did coils (Bosch) about 25,000 ago.
I will pull the plugs again.
I cant understand it.

Lpg is sensitive to weak plugs ;)

LPG injector surely

LPG injector surely
No harm in swapping it with the one on cylinder 2 and see if the fault moves banks... :-\
-
Ah ok,
Will try plugs, then injector. Thats a good point.
Have spares due to buying 8 at a time! >:(

I'd be metering out the lpg loom first ;)
-
Will google that,
My metering skills go as far as battery and alternator testing.

Does it drive? 🤔
Am down your way for the weekend, might be around Sunday afternoon if you can get it to Lyndhurst...
-
It does drive.
Unfortunatley, Im away all weekend, but i do appreciate the offer. :y
-
No worries :y
I presumed you are in the same place as I brought over the lpg bits a while back... ;)
-
Does sound like a wiring issue to the LPG injectors to me. Failing that a knackered injector.
Once the ECU has picked up a cylinder misfire it will disable fuel to that cylinder until the next restart, so this is why it persists after switching back to petrol.
Ignition system is shared between both fuels, so we can discount that.

Sorry Gents, have been away and not had a chance to sort.
Thanks for the advice though.

Silver Elite, self converted. Had a tank valve failure making the interior quite stinky...
-
No, mines a black elite, with a brc conversion that came with the car.
