I think you'd be looking at around £600 - £800 for a 2nd hand set for 18-19" wheels ?.

Around that price will get a decent set of 19" alloys
Or if you do what i do and hunt the miss spelt items from e-bay and bag a bargain

definetly preferable to pull engine with gearbox out mate!!!
far easier than trying to get to the bellhousing bolts with it in and far easier to put together when both on the floor in front of you rather than trying to juggle the torque converter into place while lift ithe gearbox!!!

What g/box would you recommend? Taking in to account I'm going for maximum power! (Don't rule out a turbo / supercharger conversion either!)

I run a 3.0 which is bored to 3.1 and run the standard gearbox AR35 with no issues at all and mine has 263Bhp

Be easier, esp considering your other threads, to buy the car you want

Changing to a 3.0 (pretty similar power) would be easier.

As Jamie said mate it's far easier to convert to a 3.0

and 229 lb/ft

so i would class my beast as pretty quick

Not 100% sure on consumption figures, but feel the old V6 is not to bad on fuel but having only driven the 2.2 for a short time i'm really unsure
