It's been snowing here since around seven this morning and it's still coming down. Weather forecast says it will continue till around 4. Wifey has closed her schools and thinks she is going to set off home at around 12:30......in a little astra with an auto gearbox  ::)
I think she should stay where she is but, no doubt, she will set off and get stuck or crash. Then she'll expect me to put my superman cape on and sort it out. She'll be sadly disappointed.

Because of snow or because of covid?

I can't recall a single time my school was closed because of snow, and there was a lot more of it back then.

I can vividly remember the 5 year old Opti being taken to school by his 8 year old sister. We needed to catch the bus but they were not running because the snow was so deep.

We then walked the two miles to school. My hands were like frozen claws and my feet were like blocks of ice when we arrived and I remember my sister having to apologise for us being late. ;D

My old mum always called it 'character building' :)

Velar was a treat in the snow, no issues at all.

iPace was also pretty good, quite interesting that if in snow mode and you ask for 400bhp, it still give you 400bhp  ;D ;D

I went to an all boys school. Had to walk a mile down the road to chat up the girls after school, and do a bit of shoplifting in the record shop while we were there.  ::)

The Velar would do ok (with off road tyres, it does have true 4x4 with transfer box), the Defender would eat that for dinner.

I have taken an iPace around the off road course at work and it did much better than I ever expected.......I didn't
risk the deep wade though   ;D
