I am in no way suggesting that either situation shouldn't weigh on your mind some, but nevertheless, worrying doesn't achieve anything.

And I don't agree that any such treatments should be delayed or disrupted... The Nightingale sites should be dealing with the Chinese Virus and the rest of the health service should be dealing with day to day stuff. Failing that going private should be a provided option, especially if the powers that be insist on bottling up the NHS.

Perhaps, if people started taking the government/NHS to court for premeditated negligence, they might reconsider their priorities. But that's a whole different debate.
