Omega General Help / Noisy Power Steering Help Please :)

Hi!

I've searched the threads for this but not sure if I've found the correct info.

When I turn the steering wheel right, there is a whining noise. Then it carries on as I'm driving in a straight line. When I parked up, I turned the steering wheel both ways (not full lock) and it was quite noisy.

I've just topped up power steering fluid, but not driven yet.

Do you think I need a new pump or do you think there may be another underlying problem?

My wishbones were replaced recently, not sure if that has any bearing on this question.

Omega General Help / Manifold gasket for 2000 2.5 V6 petrol Miggy??

Hi

Apologies if this has already been asked.

I recently replaced my catalytic converter which I bought from Euro Car Parts and they supplied a gasket for the manifold which was diamond shaped but the holes were in the wrong place to bolt on, so it was blowing quite a bit. I asked for the part from All German Car Parts and they sent me a gasket with two holes in it as opposed to one hole for the cat. So I went to Jayar Car Parts and they told me for the 2000, it should be just a ring around the the hole and not a diamond shape gasket. So I bought it, but it's too big and my exhaust is still blowing.

Does anyone know where I can get the correct part? Do I need to get it direct from Vauxhall?

Hi!

I have recently started 'vaping' with liquid e-cigs. I was a 40 a day smoker! I'm getting on well with these but I'm having difficulty in finding liquid nicotine supplies and wondered if any of you may know where I can get some from? I live near Ipswich in Suffolk and got hold of my new e-cig when I was in Cambridge.

The brand is ColinsS and the flavour I have at the moment is Rockwood Tobacco. I'm after any tobacco flavour as I don't see the point in vaping with banana, vanilla, bubble gum or any other flavour.

Omega General Help / Is Vx the only place I can get a spare key?

Hello!

Is the only place I can get a spare key from Vauxhall?

I have found the key code and immobiliser code card and wondered if there is anywhere that would be cheaper than Vauxhall to get one from?

Also, I had superb service from All German Parts this afternoon when needing a gasket to go between the manifold and cat

Newbie Welcome Area / Hello from Sunny Suffolk

Hello fellow Vauxhall Omega owners!

I'm Paul from near Ipswich in Suffolk and own a 2000 Omega CDX 2.5 V6.

I bought the car last July for £700!!! It still doesn't even have 100,000 miles on it yet, but only 350 miles to go until it does!

I've got to replace the offside cat as it's rattling (not sure if that's a common problem?) and need to replace both wishbones, but once that's done, she'll be back to herself

I shall post some photos soon
