Info received tonight ...

"Today we have launched the Club's new, integrated Forum which is accessed directly from the club website and which will replace the existing Forum"

All you have to do is log in to the main website, done it and I'm in .. no topics yet .. but for those who have had trouble accessing the forum in the past it might help.

I understand the idea is :

What will happen to the existing phpBB Forum?

As mentioned earlier, those currently registered on the existing forum at www.autobahnstormers.org.uk/forum will have a couple of weeks to complete current threads, but the Forum will not accept any more new registrations.

After a couple of weeks the whole of the existing Forum will be switched to read-only mode and no more posts, replies or PMs will be possible.

All the posts and the history that the existing Forum holds will be retained and will be accessible to all paid-up Club members.

That's a good move. When I joined I always had trouble accessing the forum so decided not to renew my membership. Time to rejoin and hopefully be able to access the whole site.

After many years of membership I didn't renew last year as my dealer does trade prices regardless of ABS membership.  :-[

Ditto - and even before that, there was only one guy who knew how to put through cash transactions against a trade account.

I know 4 or 5 years ago, TC had a hitch, and most dealers lost it.  But I think many have now regained it.  Certainly worth checking.

I have just tried to log in after years of not doing so.  I cannot 'get in' so have ticked the lost my log in details boxes.  But it will not accept my email address (which changed 3 years ago) and so there is no way the ABS system can send me new log in details!

Anyone from ABS who can help please? 

Membership number 1979 and I have sent an email to Chris Kent giving my new email address ;)
