Had a couple of letters that had to go in the post today and the post box at the end of my road gets emptied at 4.30pm.... Or so I thought.  ::)

I get down there, letters clutched in hand about 4.00pm to find that they have changed the collection time to 9.00am!  >:(

Not only that but there's a notice telling me the last collection from the PO in town is now 4.00pm, where it used to be 6.00pm.  :-\

So I ended up driving 5 miles over to the next town where there's a sorting office and the last collection is 6.00pm.  ::)

I'm sure TB would say something like...  oppsing useless oppsing self-abusers oppsers!  >:(   ::)   ;D

You can transfer a car out of your name, but not into it apparently. Dealer may have been able to do it, but no matter. Have had previous dealers saying they will do various admin things only for them not to bother, so as easy to do it yourself and know it's done ;)

Took about 10 mins to sort the tax, insurance and DVLA gubbins.

I checked vehicleenqiry.service.gov today and the V5C has finally been issued for wife's car. Now we just have to wait for it to travel through our wonderful postal service.

I wish that was true .......
New car order cancelled due to colour choice being discontinued . >:(
Unable to order new VW of choice due to model being replaced . >:(
Newly installed manual gearbox in BMW removed and back with specialist to rectify non selection of reverse .... >:(
Blackpool Illuminations on Yeti due to front ABS sensor failed  >:(

I don't think I've ever had a run of bad luck like this with cars .........
Welcome to my world.

Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, I touched yesterday broke.  So I just sat in the armchair and did virtually nothing apart from kick off a 3D print for a air duct for a computer.  And then the 3d printer let all the magic smoke out. Again.

That caught us out a few months back, when all ours changed from 4pm to 9am.

Its one of a few reasons I stopped selling on egay, as Egay reckon 1st class is within 2 days of selling, but you lose a day in the post box (or I have to drive into town).  Its actually every bit as quick to use RM's free (when they are promoting it) pickup service, but that means it tends not to arrive by the time Ebay says it will, and sellers get narky (rightly so)....

"We are updating this experience for you"

No, your ridiculous touch screen thingy that never worked as well as a paper catalogue hanging from a nail has reached its Tears in the rain moment and the replacement is still in a container  somewhere. Probably passing the one that the catalogue is in on its way to be recycled on the other side of the world.

And what self-abuser decided that buying a sidelight bulb ought to be an experience? When I finally do get the bulb, I suspect that changing it will mean I'll need to use some of the dressings the nurse didn't use on my mother's ulcerated legs.

What grinds my gears is after buying a totally mundane item for a few pence, they then keep pestering you for your feedback.

That's why you never give them a phone number or email address. Or do anything online or via an app( >:( >:( >:( ) that can still be done face to face or in a proper shop.

If they continue to pester you, just give them the lowest ratings possible. That won't stop the communication, but at least it will be worth reading :y

Them in this case was Halfords. Yes, I know, and I was still thinking old car type bulbs, ones that I can recognise from the other end of the aisle, not weird stuff for a Focus. I'll get a couple when I buy the service parts from a proper factor.
