I seem to remember someone having this problem a while ago & it turned out to be a faulty hazard switch, but then I could be wrong!

Actually they became legal last friday, see this

As i said technically some are still illegal as stated at the end of the article:-

"However, many devices currently on the market will remain illegal as they do not meet the legally required technical specifications and could interfere with radio broadcasts".

Good point.....

Some of he FM units can be very good.....you have to consider that for most files, the MP3 will be the low quailty bit.

Believe it or not but the FM transmiter add on for MP3/ CD changers are in fact illegal and you could in theory be charged under the telephone wireless act as you are technically broadcasting over the FM frequency and therefore classed as a pirate radio station.

Currently on-one has been charged with this exact offence but it is a possibility.

And of course the law is changing next year  :)

If you're passing down my way Bo Bo, I can give you a hand...

Failing that, you need the special tool known as a 'Tunnie' ;D
Cheers. I may take you up on that....

54
Thanks but mine doesn't have the two connectors at the top, which is what I was expecting.
I may try again, but like you said it was too cold............

55
Right, well I give up!  :(
Just had another go, only took ten minutes to get the panel out, but I just can't get my hand in to undo the looms, looks like I'll be doing without until I can find someone with "nimble" hands!

Just to clarify; I didn't take the connectors off the back, so was limited for space.
Ah, right. Can be done like that, but easier to take looms off...
Yeah, I always struggle with those ***** connectors!

Yeah, I could see 'em, just couldn't think of a way to get 'em out til I'd put it all back.
Gonna take it easy on the loopy juice this Fri & try again Sat!

Bulbs just twist out...
Yeah I know, I was a bit cloudy Sat morning!
I didn't have to remove the switches to remove the display.

60
Well I spent an hour getting the display out but didn't change any bulbs, I couldn't figure a way of getting them out & only 5 mins to put it all back.
Then later I thought a pair of tweezers or something similar should work, so looks like it'll be coming out again this weekend, but it shouldn't take 1/2 that time now I know what I'm doing!
