Anyone fitted a Parrot 3000 evolution car kit into the Elite with the CCR2006 bose audio?
Just been told by carphone whorehouse that it can't be done and can only be fitted with external speaker?
Have you managed it and what leads did it take?

I'd have thought you'd be able to use the pre-wiring connector behind the glovebox ... IF you can get a suitable lead ...

The Nokia bluetooth kits go in with just and adapter lead, can't imagine Parrott being much different...

The Parrot is a straightforward system and should just tap into the connectors as normal.

It is also very very good.

Just done a quick bodge install for now, wiring direct into the phone connector under the dash and using the external speaker. Carphone warehouse were quoting me sometime next week to fit with external spkr so I'll do a proper job tomorrow and see if I can get it to work on the car speakers.
I have a small loom with an audio line coming from the kit, can I connect this to the blue & brown twisted pair that leads to pins 35&36 on the back of the HU to pass phone audio into the HU, I have disconnected the loom behind the radio which I assume is for the trafficmaster.
It was a quick test job tonight twisting & taping wiring as it was getting very late & dark so Tomorrow after work I'll do a proper solder & heat shrink job with pics.

Ok it's in, I've soldered into the phone lead behind the dash and got power and access to the radio mute, but the audio through the car speakers won't play. When connected the audio fails to interrupt the radio and doesn't display message on the MID. If I use the speaker from the kit on the same mute line everything works fine so I know I have the mute line correct.
Is there a way to wire into the car loom or am I stuck with a speaker in the passenger footwell?

My recollection is that the mute cable from the phone kit pulls the radio mute line down to 0 volts, unmuted it will float up some positive value. If you measure the voltage both muted and unmuted can you see a difference? If you feel brave you can ground the line to the radio, that should force the message. You might want to use current limiting resistor in series with radio line for safety. I had one phone kit which could not sink enough current to mute, a resistor in parallel cured it but I can't remember what value I used.

The audio from the built in phone connector goes through a transformer, they call it a relay?, I think it's in the fuse box on the drivers side. It may not be installed on all cars.

Using the car's audio is a big improvement on the phone kit speakers, you can access the radio to set volume level for the phone.

I have a parrot car kit and i have fit it temporarily under drivers seat I have been told I can get a ISO harness adapter to extend plugs for speakers power and traffic master my only concern is where i will put the two units as there doesnt seem to be much room.

Just a thought, have you seen this?.

Looking at their webpage this kit needs an adapter lead for audio integration.
