2002 Omega MOT
« on: 21 June 2023, 22:46:24 »

Passed this afternoon, no worries at all!

Advisories to watch the front brake pipes (starting to look a bit rusty!) and rear tyres close to legal limit. No structural rust advisories.

The 21 year old steed lives on  :y

I’ve done loads to her in the last couple of months.

Cambelt full kit
Water pump
Aux belt tensioner
Aux belt
New genuine stainless oil cooler
All filters
Cam gaskets
Plugs
Thermostat
Radiator
Alternator

To name a few.

70 miles to the MOT today (trusted station in my
Hometown!) and was smooth and powerful,
Lovey v6 roar :y

Also 33mpg on the MID door to door.  And saw off some newer diesel wannabe hot hatch.

Even at 20+ Years old, these cars are bloody great!

Congratulations :y

A good Omega is a delight to be in :), esp if it has the correct engine, the 3.0l.

All mine tended to pass with advisos like plastic cill covers, chipped windscreens, or magic trees ;D, apart from my beloved silver bullet that went through a phase of handbrake issues until I learnt I had to do a handbrake service a week before the MOT, and accept the handbrake was semi seized again within a month ;D
