Omega General Help / timing belt.

eh guys assistance needed please.

replaced exjisting belt timing belt on 2.0 but found tensioner not tightening and deflection is excessive.  Only done between 15k and 20k miles (will check).

Would belt need changing? and therefore tensioner ok.

I thought tensioner may be damaged.

what are your thoughts please people?

Omega General Help / 2.0 btdc/tdc

After replscing camshaftc sprockket and placing them 4 teeth movement before tdc I inadvertently removed cam locking tool and each sprocket sprang out of position approximately 2 teeth movements. :-?
 
Does this matter as I have replaced timing belt. before carrying out adjustment as per haynes (720  deg - reseating timing belt)  also resetting to TDC, thought I would check with you guys before  doing anything else. :-/ :-/ :-/ :question

Omega General Help / crank shaft

After a break I'm back to this off on off on project.

If anyone can help, I am a bit confused. In reading Haynes it instructs to turn crank shaft backwards 60 degrees ( 4 teeth movement) before removing timing belt.
Surely after doing this, to get TDC prior to removing timing belt, crank shaft will have to be turned again and therefore TDC is lost.

Secondly it also says to ensure to line up crank shaft timing mark with mark on oil pump as shown in illustration, but it appears this does not match picture.

Any ideas?

All assist will be greatly appreciated.

Omega General Help / cam shaft and bonnet prob

1. I can only open bonnet when someone pulls release and I simultaneously push down on bonnetp to and then pulling up to release initially before I can press flap (want of a better term).

2. did not hold cams in place tightly enough with spanner and left hand one turned, not sure by how many teeth, about 3, returned back to approx original position.

Any ideas on how to rectify 1. Also am I in the proverbial re 2?

Omega General Help / injector removal help required.

I've been able to remove connectors, but removing injectors are proving difficult, also inlet manifold support bracket.  Have removed one bolt but was wondering if there were others.  If there are I will need to jacyk up to gain access unless anyone knows different.  Assistance please

Omega General Help / Accellerator cable

went to begin stripping engine and tried to disconnect cable from ball joint at throttle houssing, as manual instructs.

It says to undo retaining clip.  Could not ID.  Does anyone know if it is the small wire found wound around near the small ball.  If so I am finding it help hard to remove.

All help will be appreciated.

Omega General Help / drop valve

Can anyone shed light on what is a drop valve (unless taken literally) is please. 
How caused & end result. Never heard of this  before.

The nearest thing I can think of is cambelt coming off and pistons hitting said valve and ending in tears and lighter wallet. (. Sounds a totally different  thing all together.
