Flat ones really only work well on flat screens, they don't cope well with large curved screens like on the Omega

Have you tried them on your Omega?
Was thinking of getting some for mine, as they work better than standard ones on my Carlton.

I got my Bosch Areoblades from wiperblades.co.uk - they start from around £7 each blade - I went for the Bosch ones at £25 and I think they are far better than the standard blades as there are less moving parts to freeze/sieze and they clear the screen a lot better in this weather.

The one and only drawback is that the last 3 inches  of passenger side blade doesn't sit on the screen when they are "parked" due to the curviture of the screen but this isnt a probelm as it doesn't vibrate or detract from the performance of that blade when your using them.

In my opinion they are superb at what they do, I wouldn't go back to standard blades now.

Heebay, 8 quid the pair. Sounds like theyre going to be rubbish at that price, but have proved excellent so far.

These also don't clear the outside bit of the screen on pass side, as said, but only for a few inches of 'sweep', from then on they seems to 'grip' tight to the screen, and squeegy it great!

seen them on some Omegas in the car parks, as Diamond mentions they don't cover the end of the passenger side, i paid £3 each last time at the dealer, never had an issue with them, always wipped really well.

Tad squeeky now, but thats cause my jets froze, and i had to wipe the dry screen for ages.

people who claim they are any better than standard are obviously comparing it to the utterly shagged, worn out ones they replaced.

They are no better, and on Omegas (and I see a lot of Omegas) often worse as it cannot follow the shape of the screen.

Hi gstylebaby, Got my Bosch Aerotwin (AR607S) from ebay at £20 inc postage for the pair. They do work better than standard blades, I swapped between original (new) blades and the flat Bosch blades whilst it was raining heavily to test and apart from, as already mentioned, that they do not sweep a small area at the bottom of the passenger side of the screen roughly where the tax disc is located their performance is superior. The cost is approx 10 times that of the std GM blades but I wouldn't go back.  :)

bosch aero blade twin seem to be the best of the flat blade style, certainly better than the valeo flats. I personally switched to flat blades to avoid the spring pressure points of genuine items which made a mess of the screen under the previous owner. However vx do not list flats for the omega, probably due to previously mentioned curved screen i guess.
