General Discussion Area / A nice walk around town
« on: 08 May 2008, 12:41:08 »
Went for a wander round town (Chester) on my dinner today....

Lovely blue skies, nice warm day

By pure coincidence it is races week, and today happens to be Ladies day  ::)

The sights are unbelievable, how the ladies get away with wearing so little is a mystery to me (but one I shall ponder on a while)

Happy Days  :D

General Discussion Area / Backing Up DVD's
« on: 08 May 2008, 19:35:28 »
Used to use DVD Xcopy express in the old days to backup a Movie dvd to a dvdr.....

But its very old now, not needed to make backups for a long time so out the game so to speak on the best tools for the job.

But the kids are getting to the age where we can take films to keep em quiet in the car, and want to protect my originals.

What is anyone else using for the job these days?

General Discussion Area / Good weekend
« on: 21 April 2008, 14:59:51 »
Cheers to the DTM's for a good weekend.

Car is running much nicer thanks to an expertly fitted genuine exhaust
Quieter, smoother, an I think already more economical.

Thats before I mention the lethal weapon found just above the glove box  :-X

Facelift much smoother for the new wheel bearing as well  :y

Hope the kids slept ok after a busy weekend.
Took us ages to settle the youngest, but all slept like logs afterwards!

Really Enjoyed the weekend away!

Got my Autobox ATF changed, blanked my egr, fixed my checkstrap
Really enjoyed doing it, despite not being a comfortable job and well out my 'comfort zone'  (Cant belive I had to wash my hair 5 times that night, and I was still getting mucky atf out of it) Car feels smoother for it, old stuff was a bit sludgy, no thrust washer though :)  Sure the car is also a little more economical, buts its hard to say yet.
Hoping my MV6 wheels are still round after hitting that bloody speed bump at best part of 60 :(

Great to see a load of old faces, and meet lots of new ones too.
Usual votes of thanks to Timbuk for the venue, 'experts' for all the advice, Bob for the BBQing and everyone else ive not mentioned.

Nice bit of well earned socialising in the evening, where much beer, scotch (thanks Broocie) and 'welsh'  ;D  were consumed.

Monday morning and I'm still knackered and aching like hell, but great fun!  whens the next one!

One last note.....Dont forget to do a toolbox / engine bay audit and report back on any tools / sockets etc that you have inadvertently acquired, im sure various people may be missing an item or 2.
