Hi all this is the abbridged vesion of the battery thead that went awol yesterday.

Battery new just before Christmas, 90 Amp hour model
Keep going flat
measured 10.63 V
charged over night charger read full 12.81 V
Altenator tested out at 13.85 V
Tested for discharge measured between 1.48 to 1.70 Amps the settled down at 1.00 Amps
Did as suggested by Kevin and checked it out after 15 minute after closing the door read .4 to .7 Amps then settled down after a few seconds to .03 Amps

Additional info
Had problems with ignition barrel switch but I think that is sorted now.
Did a drop test for about ten seconds reading stayed in the green but noticed slight gassing from two of the cells, is this normal :-/

A knats knacker on the high side, so I'm guessing you read that without allowing the battery to settle for 30 mins or so after disconnecting from the charger.
Nothing of concern there though.

Altenator tested out at 13.85 V

That is the absolute minimum voltage required for charging, I'd expect to see 14V minimum when the battery is under load and the engine is at 2000rpm.

Perfectly acceptable current drain, no need for concern.

Perfectly normal as a drop test pretty much makes the battery work it's nuts off to deliver the current.
I'd be looking at a slack alternator belt, and if it's not that then the regulator would be the next suspect.

The last statement assumes the terminals on the end of the cables that connect to the battery are good, and that the wires are crimped tight.

Update had the battery disconnected for 24 hours the voltage now measures 11.39  :-/

If you've gone from 12.8v down to 11.39 with the battery disconnected then I would say that your battery is fubar

As i said on the vanishing thread, i would go for the battery  , it would indicate to me that you have one cell in the battery that is falling over, as it is less than 12 months old you should get a replacement FOC, so nothing to loose by having it replaced anyway
