I used these guys for dent removal..

I only initially wanted a couple of dents removed, he found small dings and dents in every panel except the bonnet and roof. Looked excellent when he was finished

General Discussion Area / What would you take to France

Not wishing to carry on about another member of our forums unfortunate experiences, but next month I'm off to France with the Omega down to the Alps.

What does the collective think is the bare minimum you should take on a long journey.

Top of my list is a CPS

I had mine done on a previous Omega by these guys

http://www.elitedirect.com/ In Essex just after the Dartford Tunnel (If coming from Kent)

Totally transformed the car, stopped tramlining, I didn't have to hang on to the steering wheel with both hands any more.

I lost count of the number of times so called tyre fitters had tried to get it right.

I might be paying them a visit with my current Omega

General Discussion Area / A Public Thank You

Just changed my Cam belt on a 3ltr and would like to thank the guys that made the Cam Belt change DVD. To anyone contemplating changing their cam belt I would suggest you get the DVD first.

It made everything so much easier and explained how to get the timing correct with the adjustable timing pulleys. Something I've never seen before.

Worth its weight in gold, best 3 quid I've spent for ages.

Thanks Guys

Try ftp://www.confused.com

I'm with Saga (that shows my age) they wanted about £470 for my 3.0lt Elite and would match any other lower price, got a quote with Admiral for about £250 and they matched it. When i changed my car to a 3.2 Estate they reverted back to the original quote and charged me an extra £110.. I'll be shopping around again come renewal time.

The updated Carin disc will do postcode search for the first 5 letters. Which is better than the Siemens system fitted in the updated Omegas, which doesn't do postcode at all :-(
I dont think mine does the post codes but I could be wrong as ive never tried ::)

If you have one of the newer discs, just enter a postcode in the town menu,  after about 5 letters/numbers you'll get a list of all the towns/districts associated with that postcode.
