...finally got around to fixing it. Had a distinct case of "cannot be bothered" 

Should have done it ages ago, the 3.2 goes much better now. 

In the end I glued the snapped off bit, back onto the joiner section. Carefully glued it, waited, then started car and made sure air was getting through and there was vac was leaking. Left it over night, now re-attached the T-peice adaptor thing, taken it for a spin and yup nice and perky mum bus again.

I still need to make one good vac pipe from the 2 knackered ones I have.

But always seem to have so many other things to do first.
