I love Edinburgh after 0930 as some of the bus lanes are out of opperation and like sheep everyone stays in the outside lane if only some people paid attention to the road signs.
It seems most plebs have got blinkers on and screw you am first attitude where as I couldn't give a sh!t as longs I get there in the end. I'm 40 not 90 years old :-*

Can get Dex III in 5 lits from Halfords.

There's no drain on the autobox only a filler/level plug.
To empty either suck old atf out through filler or better drop sumps and clean filters as well.

Believe there's a howto  :y
Yip 10mm socket lots and lots of rags and I used a bottom tray from a dog cage to catch the over spill oh and shampoo and swarfega :y :y :y

Omega General Help / Re: Leaking #1 injector(diesel)
« on: 18 February 2013, 07:44:27 »
Best way to get more play on the injector pipe is to remove number 1,2,3 feed pipes to the injectors this will in turn allow you to get num 1 pipe out off the way then using the 27mm long socket and a breaker bar just nip up the injector.
By the way are you in Rosyth (Scotland).

My 18 year old son who past his test in January was quoted £4590 fully comp(third party not offered) for a corsa breeze 1.0l and this is him starting his own policy and not driving on mine basicly totaly legal.
The thing that baffles me he can insure a disco 300tdi (2.5) for £3900 same again fully comp totaly legal so how can it be cheaper than a corsa and 1500cc bigger ??? ???.
For me to insure the corsa just for me £128 fully comp and for me as main driver and my son as occasional driver £3680.
So hes been told tae get a good job and i'll look into getting a tracker box fitted from the co-op insurance

Could be a brake cylinder sticking or damaged when you took the old drums off

Omega General Help / Re: diesel battery in petrol 2.6
« on: 11 February 2013, 19:57:20 »
Yep I'm tring a £10 1.8w solar panel on the back parcel shelf.  Currently its only wired to a 20ah jump starter battery but it is charging that nicely at half an amp in cloudy weather. Have ordered a second one, two will fit neatly on the parcel shelf.  I still need a new battery though as I only have three partly knackered ones at the moment and I've got a deal on a new diesel spec quality batt - £63 delivered.
Don't waste your money on the solar charger there a waste of time they also discharge the battery and can cook it. I wrecked a brand new truck battery with one it was generating 46volts in direct sun light :o.
You would need to fit a resister to stop it discharging the battery

Omega General Help / Re: Timing Diesel pump
« on: 08 February 2013, 16:25:22 »
Your better to get a diesel specialist to set up the timing they will have the proper tools.
Did you take the pump from the donor engine yourself

Omega General Help / Re: 2.5TD non-starter
« on: 29 January 2013, 07:59:54 »
As Seths says code 82 is num 4 injector if the crank sensor was at fault code 19 would show.
I still think that you have upset the main injector pump by removing the positioning sensor but another thing to try is take a direct earth from the battery to the casing of the ECU as you may off disturbed the ECU and its not earthing properly this might be the reason for code 81

Hi all,
can anyone help with my problem?
My Omega failed it's MOT on a leaky injector. I have resealed 2 of the injectors yesterday, and also taken the lid off the pump to clean the position sensor in an attempt to solve fault code 64.
The car will now not start.
I have cracked the lines that were removed and I am getting fuel there.
I have taken the in tank pump out of the car and tested it, it is working fine and I can hear it coming on with the glowplug light and running for about another 5 seconds afterwards. There is about 20 litres in the tank.
The car sounds like its trying to fire but does not start.
What should I be checking next? Could there still be air in the system?

Thanks
Dave.
Sounds like you have upset the positioning sensor this could turn out costly as you may find you need to take it to a specialist to be reset.
As for code 64 your best option is to just live with it

Actually, I've got one to get rid of, complete with rim. Wondering how to separate them? :-\
Cut round the side wall on both sides with a stanley knife then using a big grinder or sthil saw cut through the bead and tyre bead at the same time then off to scrappies with the alloy wheel. theres no wire in the side wall and if you try and cut the tyre across the tread you will go through cutting disco like no tomorrow :y
