You've clearly never been to Thanet or Sheppey**. There are loads of them in the Swale between Whitstable and Leysdown. And further round the coast.

The electoral system in the UK is a friggin joke.

SNP 55 seats - 1,434,291 votes - 5.8% vote share

UKIP 1seat - 3,028,363 votes - 12.2% vote share

The system is set up to protect the 2 party system.

Agree with Opti on the wall thing.
This bit is NOT PERSONAL ............ but if the people of Scotland insist on voting for a party that openly hates England and the union, its about time they piss off and form the Socialist Republic Of Scotland and be done with it.
All you heard about on the TV was "Hate the tories" and "Lock the tories out of Scotland".
Sick and tired of listening to the friggin whining and whinging about jobs up there.
Ask the ship workers of Portsmouth about losing jobs.

The whole world is oppsed because the pretty boys from Eaton have spent decades kissing arse, borrowing money and bribing the public so they vote for them and keep them on the gravy train instead of living by the countries means.

Rant over

Hugs and kisses

The Gonad family  :-* :-* :P ;D

Ps                          Vote UKIP  :P :D

That's not many people to pay for a whole independent country, as I take it no English tax payers monies will be going North of the Wall................ :-X :-X

...and as you hate the conservatives so much, we're going to give you complete freedom to do what you want north of the border, i.e. you can be self funding, so you won't want any more of the English taxpayers money, will you?.......

Some very disappointed people on here where it was not a hung parliament and another election, so you could enjoy another 6 weeks of political campaigning and party political broadcasts. :P :P :P

I expect that the ScotNats are not only pleased with their own result, but also that there is a Tory government returned to Westminster.  ::)

They'll now spend the next 5 years rabble rousing against a Tory Government that has no democratic mandate in Scotland and agitating for another referendum, especially when England votes to leave the EU!  ;)  ;D

Well done to the Scots for decimating Labour in Scotland and helping the Tories back into Downing Street!  :y  ;D

I believe that independence is now inevitable.

What do we have north of Hadrians wall?

No liberals.

No labour

No Tories.....(no change there)

England won't get to vote on EU as the Tory grandees don't want the UK out of the EU. So the referendum ain't going to happen.

This election is a bit of a watershed.

What exactly do the Lib Dems stand for? Who knows? was it decency in politics?

What or who do the Labour party stand for?

So the majority voted for the party that is going to continue to widen the gap between the haves and the have nots, not build more affordable homes, savagely cut benefits further.

I now think it will be very hard for any party to topple them in the future.

Just observations as it is a bit academic to me. We have our own damned elections in Spain which promise to be every bit as close according to the polls. Both the sitting Right wing and the Left wing are mired in endemic corruption on a biblical scale. A brand new party only 16 months old is polling as much.

He certainly was Harold Wilson never had a slogan in 1964 like "The white heat of technology" and then promptly scrapped our world leading projects like TSR2. ::) ::) ::)

All Government's eventually lose elections, where they have past their sell by date!

The Conservative Eurosceptic wing have always had a vital roll to play in fooling the electorate when it comes to the EU. They play the bad-cop anti-EU while the rest of the traitors in the Conservative party play the good-cop and give our sovereignty away. To understand this read the FO FCO/30-1048 document of 1971. http://www.eureferendum.com/fcosovereignty2.pdf

To understand the world go beyond the party political manipulative propaganda!

I would have agreed with that once, now I cannot ever see a viable alternative that could win, not quite sure how that leaves us; and on VE day as well. Why oh why did so many loose their lives............... :( :(
