I have used the mg-rover one, never really got much of a response.  My father-in-law asked about changing a 218D clutch there, and got a 'buy a workshop manual and some axle stands' reply  - I think he's considering buying a Vauxhall now, due to the extra help available

well i can understand that, not as a proper answer, but as an answer that would be given.

Its a bit hit and miss on there, sometimes you can get an excellent comprehensive answer, othertimes a thread can fade off the first page without a reply.....

Been a lot better in recent months, with all due respect to all on the rover forum, it doesnt have the same strength of knowledge and warmth of the guys on here and formerly VxON.

Now i take it that clutch on the rover is resolved ?
