new "body-snatcher" mods
« on: 12 September 2009, 23:33:37 »

been busy lately with some new upgrades and took a few pics, hope you like.

fitted a pair of FAT goodyear eagles, 255x50x16s from the arse of an 80,s 911.
i,ll not be kerbing the alloys with these on, just look at the size of em.

also replaced the backbox with custom made "OE look" tailpipes, slashed cut to match the bumper.
now sounds like a 50,s grand prix car and wakes the dead instead of carrying them.

fitted smoked side repeaters, touring car style sunstrip, re-located tax disc and blue LED sidelights.

still on the list is a mesh grille, front spoiler, refurbed wheels in black, red calipers and low springs.
its coming on now and i still love it.....

any comments welcome  :y

cheers mate but it actually wants another £400 spent on bodywork to make me happy  ::)
a mate is going to paint the alloys, both bumpers, front spoiler and bottom door sections on the nearside  ;)

after a full power buff it should look like new, then i,ll be happy  :y

That looks good, I like the exhaust...as you say it looks OE...nice. Looks great in black too with the tinted rear windows. I'm not too sure about the blue led's though. You're tempting fate, everytime the police see you should get pulled...told to change them. It all depends on the officer in question. They could easliy suggest you were impersonaitng a police officer. It is a specific offence to have blue lights showing on a vehicle. But nice car  :y

What a lovely vehicle V6  8-) 8-) 8-) I would lose the blue led's though, they look quite out of place and spoil the front of an otherwise great car :y :y

i would but its not that easy i,m affraid.
they were custom made by powerflow so there,s no jig or pattern to build more.
if the bends are,nt spot on the twin tails wont line up right, it took 2 hours to make and fit these.
i,m sure there,s a custom exhaust builder near you as they are worldwide nowadays.

just fitted my new ebay grille i got for £50 but i,m undecided about it  :-/
i think it looks very odd and either needs a vauxhall or irmscher badge in the middle or something  :-?
although i think it looks great with the splitter so it looks like i,ll be spending another £85 for that  ::)

what do you lot think???  :-/

I'd say, go with the splitter and I guess a chrome surround for the grille would finish it off in a very lovely way  ;) :y

been busy again shedding blood, sweat and tears (those bloody 18mm caliper bolts were tight)
changed the front discs and pads, painted the calipers red and disc centres black.
fitted the new 5mm wheel spacers with new longer bolts.
also changed those dodgey blue LED sidelights to HID white ones and changed the fuel filter.

front splitter and lowered springs to come  :y

splitter arrived today so i fitted it straight on after work, looks awesome IMHO  8-)
great quality and perfect fit, holds itself in place but i put a couple of screws in just in case  ;)
it even came in black gelcoat so i might not bother painting it (until it gets damaged)  :-/
almost finished now, still needs the arse dropping 2" but i,m well happy  :P

i also now think the grille looks right so its good  ::)

Althouh I have eyebrows on mine, I dont think you need 'em on yours.
Nice grille too.

It looks really sorted now, glad you got rid of the eyebrows.

I'm thinking one of the Irmscher things in the grill would make it look even better, too.

Quite jealous.

Oh, my apologies.

The trouble with the Omega grill is that it's sliiiightly too large to simply debadge. It looks a bit like it's fallen off without something there.

An Irmscher badge may solve the problem, but I think with just one very small thing there it'll be spot on.

Holy shucking fit that looks good! ;)

Have to say, I was a little undecided about getting the windows in my black estate tinted - your pics have convinced me it's the way forward.
I like the splitter, and can't see why it wouldn't fit an MV6 bumper.
Agree, the eyebrows wouln't look right.
grille looke fine to me - although the chrome surround on an Irmscher one would look good on most Omegas, on one that black, I don't think so.

So mine doesn't end up looking like an imitation of yours, I'm gonna do summat a bit different...........we'll see next springtime!

Regarding blue sidelights - if they are just on their own, they are illegal as the sidelights should illuminate white (forward facing light).
As fas as I'm aware, it's not illegal to have blue lights on a car, as long as they don't flash or have the ability to flash, when the car is on the public highway.
