General Car Chat / Back box explosion.
« on: 20 May 2017, 23:45:15 »
Never had this happen before.

While comeing home last night there was any mighty bang from under the car, and the exhaust started blowing. On insection the rear box had exploded along the seam, and the 2 centre boxes have deformed slightly.

I think the wadding inside the box must have some how blocked the tail pipe and allowed presure to build up in the system, untill it gave way, but car was running fine and didn't start missing or any thing.

Anyway, would have needed a new exhaust soon so not a big problem, Just a new one on me. :)

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Help with CCRT2008 needed.
« on: 04 May 2017, 18:28:45 »
My car currently has a CCRT2008 radio fitted, but the CD player is not working. I have had a look through the Maintenance Guides and got hold of a CCR2006 unit.

The Maintenance Guides says :

But what about the security code / NCDx pairing?

Fear not! The element that the coding / pairing requires will be swapped so you will not have to decode or de-pair/pair the units to effect the repair and in the case of the CCR2006, you will simply have to re-enter your code when you return the head unit to the car.

My question is, do I need to change the circuit board over, or will the CCR2006 CD player just plug and play?

Thanks for any help.

General Car Chat / Re: Advice on which wheels look best.

Well most of you on here seem to like the original wheels.

There are 2 reasons why I have been looking at the Oz wheels:

1.  I picked them up cheap.
2.  My son and a few others have commented that it looks like an old man's car, or as a Scottish friend put it "fur flat cap und awe pip" ;D

Painted callipers, fitted new wheels and changed thermostat on the V6.

Picked up a set of wheels from Omegod the other week, I have now fitted them to the car, but can't deceid if they suit the car.

Which do you think look the best ?
