Omega General Help / Sill protector removal
« on: 30 March 2020, 00:26:18 »
I need to remove the sill cover on my fl omega to do a bit of welding to the sill.

Now I know that I am going to need new clips in order to re-fit it, so my question is, does anybody know the part number and if they are still available.

Thanks.

Omega General Help / Re: 2.5 V6 Coolant Transfer Pipe

I would advise that you get both, although the pipe should come with the seal.

You may find it hard to separate the pipe from the thermostat housing as they tend to corrode them selves together, and can end up breaking the pipe while trying to split them apart.

Bargain comfy motoring even factoring in mpg.

I converted her to LPG last year, so the mpg is not too bad. 90% of my driving is around town and I'm getting about 32 mpg, so not bad for an old bus.

Well, what can I say, took the Omega in for its MOT this morning and to my surprise, it passed.  :D

Did get an advisory for both front tyres, which I was expecting, and a small bit of rust on the rear of the d/s sill. But when you consider that the car is 18 years old and never had any welding work, I think she has done quite well.

Only paid £200 for her 3 years ago and she has passed her MOT every year with no issues to talk about and now has over 150000 miles under her belt.

Don't think I have any grounds to complain.  :y
