Emissions info
« on: 04 June 2017, 20:44:42 »

As said elsewhere the V70 passed the mot yesterday the emissions sheet reads
Fast Idle Test
CO Level                          0.06%
HC Level                              30ppm
Lambda                            1.01

Natural Idle Test
CO Level                            0.01%
Are these figures good/bad/indifferent? Obviously they're good enough to pass the test, just wondering if they're trying to tell me something I should know.Car is a year 2000 phase1 with the 5 pot 2.4L n/a motor.

CO figures are an indication of how well the engine management systems are working: they're fine
HC is an indication of engine wear(bores and valve guides mainly), and 30parts per million is low.
The Lambda reading is good too.

Those figures are exactly what you would expect to see from a healthy modern engine.
